The profession

What is chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a healthcare modality centered on the nervous system, the master system that controls and coordinates every cell, tissue, and organ in the body. Chiropractors care for a wide range of conditions, from musculoskeletal issues like back and neck pain to tightness, restricted movement, and general dysfunction, as well as everything in between.

The philosophy behind chiropractic is that the body possesses an innate intelligence that knows how to heal itself, but when there is misalignment in the spine or miscommunication within the nervous system, that healing capacity becomes compromised. Through precise, hands-on adjustments, chiropractors work to restore proper alignment and clear the pathways of communication between the brain and the body. Rather than masking symptoms, the goal is to address the underlying cause so the body can function the way it was designed to.

Many people first seek out chiropractic care for pain relief, then continue because of the broader benefits they notice in mobility, energy, and overall wellbeing. At its core, chiropractic is about removing interference and allowing the body to express its full potential for health.

What is Chiro+?

Chiro+ is a publishing and verification program for licensed US chiropractors in good standing. A doctor whose license clears a state-board check and whose feature passes human editorial review is Chiro+ Verified — a status anyone can check, free, on a live verification page. Reading and verification are free for everyone.

How does a doctor get published in Chiro+?

The standard

Seven published criteria. The first two decide whether a doctor can be featured at all; the rest decide who is considered for recognition.

The editorial bar

Nine acceptance criteria every article clears before it runs — scope, evidence, patient dignity, and the doctor’s own voice.

The public record

Every badge resolves to a live verification page. A lapsed membership or a failed license check stops reading “verified” the moment it happens.
